How Common?
The FTC estimates that approximately 9 million Americans EACH YEAR have their identities stolen. Even children are victims of identity theft, about 400,000 each year. Legal Rights
Pursuant to the Federal law, once you prove your identity has been stolen, credit agencies are required to include a fraud alert along with a credit report for at least 90 days from the date of the request.
