TCPA Cases Settled: Terms Remain Confidential

The law firm of Craig K. Perry has settled several cases for violations of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act ("TCPA"). The TCPA makes it unlawful for businesses and other "'persons" from calling mobile phones using a robodialer, and calling phone numbers on the government's do-not-call registry.

The law firm has settled several of the cases that it has filed with the adverse parties. However, the details of these settlements cannot be disclosed because, in most cases, the terms remain confidential.

The provides for putative damages in the amount of $500 per call or text in violation of the law, up to $1,500 for wilfully and knowingly making such calls.
